It would be nice if India, as well as china, had a more constructive approach to climate change negotiations.  Currentlly they seem to be stuck on the issue of clean technology transfer and the role of patents.  

India want&#039;s to dilute patent protection to &quot;make technology affordable&quot;.  This is a distraction from the real debate which is import tarrifs - which are high in India.  Also, it is private enterprise that will bring cleantech into India, not governmnets, and without patent incentives it wil not happen.
